Your part isn't available? We start by evaluating whether it can be manufactured
Thulathi helps study and design the re-manufacturing of missing or broken parts when a local replacement isn't available, so the solution is both technically and economically suitable.
Photos of our work
We review the part's function, where it's installed, and its operating conditions before proposing the material or manufacturing method; similarity in shape alone is not enough to approve a replacement.
Examples of requests we can evaluate
Handles, covers, holders, fasteners, buttons, decorative pieces, and simple plastic components. These are examples for review, not a promise that every such part can be manufactured for every use. A solution's validity can change with load, heat, movement, or the fastening method.
Is a photo enough?
A photo helps with initial understanding, but it doesn't guarantee extracting exact measurements or assembly details, even if the original sample exists. Photos of its position and dimensions help determine what needs measuring, designing, or testing.
Stages of work
We understand the problem, review the part or its data, then define the design scope. When needed, a model is produced to verify fit and assembly before approving the final version and quantity. The quote includes the material, the work covered, and the number of agreed review and testing stages only; any additional item is defined and priced separately.
When do we not approve direct manufacturing?
If the part's function is unclear, if influential measurements can't be determined, or if its failure could cause injury or significant damage. Treating a printed part as an automatic substitute for a sensitive component in a safety, pressure, or load system may not be specialized, and such cases may be referred to the appropriate service scope.
Do you guarantee it matches the original part?
Acceptance criteria are defined within the project scope before deciding to manufacture, and the fit or required performance is approved through suitable testing; we don't promise functional matching from photos alone.
Prepare your request
Send photos of the part from multiple angles, its installation location, dimensions, a description of its function, the current problem, and quantity. Clarify whether the part is exposed to sun, heat, friction, or liquids and chemicals.
