Turn your idea into something that can be discussed and tested
Thulathi helps you develop a prototype that presents your idea or tests a specific aspect of it, instead of making a production decision based only on a photo or a mental image.
We start by defining the question the prototype needs to answer: is the shape right? Is the size comfortable? Do the parts fit together? Or do you need a model to present the idea to your team?
Choose the prototype's purpose before requesting manufacturing
A visual model: to present size, form and identity. A fit model: to verify parts and measurements match. An early functional model: to study a specific function within known limits. Not every prototype is suitable for final sale or long-term use; the purpose determines the approval process and level of work.
How do I define the project scope?
We review the idea, drawings and files, and determine which parts need to be designed or manufactured, and what will be tested from the first stage's outputs. It may be appropriate to manufacture one influential new part instead of printing the whole model, or to split the project into an initial version followed by an improved version after feedback.
What does the price include?
The design scope, number of parts and models, required materials and finishing, review stages, and what the client provides in files or components. The quote covers only what is listed in it; it also clarifies whether final design files or later modifications are included in the scope or not.
Who is this suited for?
Entrepreneurs, designers, engineers and teams developing a product who need a way to present and test it. Educational or university projects can also be reviewed when the project's requirements and inputs are clear.
How do I start without a file?
Share a description of the use, simplified drawings, or examples that show the idea, dimensions and expected goals, and we'll define what's needed before designing.
Does a prototype prove the product is ready for production?
Not automatically; the prototype answers its agreed-upon goals, and the product may need further development and testing before final approval.
